I'm kinda right there with you & would like some more feedback. I am from the school of "you get what you pay for" However, some of the last purchases, IE, Avon, Perrelli, BF Goodrich, Goodyear's, The quattro just chews thru them so fast. The best A/S were the the Goodyear Eagle RSA's, 40K, but the car was new & that is what came on it. Bushings tight, etc.
Khumo ASX's my buddy had them on his MKIV Jetta & he didn't like them, Conti's I don't know a thing about. Back in High school I had a car with them & they weren't bad.
(Side Note Story)
Also, the Nexen purchase (possibly) is because the last set of tire I got from the Tire rack only lasted 12K, I called them after doing thousands of business with them & all they would do for me is give a 20% discount on my next purchase. The guy with the Nexen's is a small business owner (like me) & I almost feel obligated to give him my business now. I know it sounds funny to some, but Online or personal relationship.....
Any other thoughts, on a reasonable A/S tire; BTW, my wife is the one who will be driving the Audi most of the time this winter. I'll pull the Jeep out again. TIA
