    Question QTP Exhaust CutOut

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone has ever looked into, or actually ran the QTP setup on their B6. I've only seen one on a car, not an Audi tho... Was just curious if anyone has any info for me. Thanks ahead of time for any feedback!!

    Re: QTP Exhaust CutOut

There's a video of one on Youtube, search for The Audi B6. I forget the user but there's also a guy on here with a sick Silver B6 with and S4 rear and a big turbo that uses one. Hopefully he will chime in.

His name is DeanUW or something similar. He doesn't have the QTP one and I hear they're crap. If you want one get DMH. That's what he runs and it's also what my friend with a ~600HP 300ZX runs. He loves it.

    Re: QTP Exhaust CutOut

Dean has an electronic cut-out coming off of a 3-inch down-pipe. It doesn't sound too flattering when running the dump at idle, but when he gets on it it sounds bad-ass. He also has some magnaflows with a staggered quad set up that he can flip a switch and run through those. Pretty fucking sweet set-up overall. Perfectly executed.

What's DMH, sorry I'm not sure what that is exactly?? I've heard good things with QTP just nothing for a B6 owner, which is what counts!!

Thanks for the feedback guys, and the link to the video. The cutout sounds sweet, I was thinking of the same placement for the switch... Right in the ashtray. How does the car feel with the dump open, it has to be crazy!!

Yea, I really doubt you'd get any better gains than just having a cat-back exhaust with a K03. Obviously on something like a GTRS or bigger it would help much more than with a TAT (tiny ass turbo).

Yeah I kind of figured as much, I'm thinking going K04 over the winter tho. I wasn't looking to spend the 1200 on a cat-back but maybe that's the better way to go. I have the VMR cat delete already. If I don't go cutout, what downpipe do you guys recommend??
