Is this actually a good turbo?

Cause I'm currently waiting for the KO4's to get back in stock. But with the price of them going up from $800, to $1000 is a bit pricey. I mean, if I'm gonna have to spend that much, I might as well just get a GT28 for $1200!

You could have it shipped to a person on this forum board and then have them ship it to you. I could do that if you so chose to. But maybe someone closer to AZ (Arizona) would yield cheaper shipping charges.

And as for if it is a quality turbo or not, it is still a KKK turbo. I talked to the guy on the phone and he said that it performs the same as the k04. If I had the dough and was in need of a cheaper turbo, I would get it and post reviews for others whom may be interested in it in the future. I assume it runs with the k04 file.

I guess save up dough and get the GTRS eliminator kit. 034 has a group buy still going on as the list did not fill up yet. clicky click. Has everything minus clutch.

No problem, man. But I just realised the kit is for longitudinal engines. I don't know if the 2000 is tranverse or longitudinal.

I'm pretty sure 2000's were longitudinal. Cause I know when I talked with my tech last week, he said mine was.

But right now, I'm just gonna wait and see what I wanna do. Cause I already order a FMIC today with piping that will go well with either a KO4 or a GT28. I just don't know yet if I wanna dump 4k into my motor right now. Cause I'm still paying for school and a bunch of other small things. So I may just go with a KO4 if they ever get back in stock.

Being a broke college student is hard. lol. Especially when you have such a loooong list of wants. And I have learned that what I want, isn't always best. It comes down to what I need. So a simple KO4 setup is most likely what I will wind up with.

But after college and I plan on selling my car and hopefully getting a B6 Platform A4, and BT it. At least that's the plan right now. But that will prolly change like most plans. lol.

Yeah, I didn't like them at first. But then my friend had one and they kinda grew on me. So I'm really hoping things work out and I will get a B6 a4 Avant. I forgot to mention that. But it's only cause it's a more practical car for me. Since I play hockey, snowboard, bike, and go camping. It just makes sense for me to get an Avant. For the longest time I wanted an Allroad. But then I started thinking about all the maintainence and problems that come with that car and motor. And that steered me away from wanting one anymore.

So if everything goes right, a 1.8T Avant should do just fine.
