Can I connect it to the TIP or Do I have to remove the TIP and connect directly to turbo to test for leaks?

I saw a thread that said block off the pancake valve.

    Thanks

    Re: Boost leak tester ?

You don't have to use the TIP. But if you don't you won't detect any leaks in that pipe. There is a write up where the test is performed without using the TIP.
