so i just installed coilovers and a new rim/tire set up and my tires are rubbing over bumps. will an alignment solve this issue? i really do not want to raise the ride height if i don't have to.

    setup:
about 1 finger gap from the top of the tire to the fenders all around.
    18x8 et35 wrapped in 245/40/18

    thanks.
    Jay

    No.

The only alignment-related thing you could do would be to install adjustable upper control arms and pull the tops of the tires inward (increase negative camber). However, This will wear the inside of the tires very quickly.

Have you rolled the fenders already? I think you would need to have them rolled for the ride height/wheel/tire setup you mentioned. The 245/40-18 is a little bit larger diameter than stock, and it's obviously wider. It has worked for others, IIRC, but I am not sure with et35. Sorry for the somewhat vague info. I'm a B5 guy.

Good luck, and I hope things work out!

ET35 is a good offset in most wheels, and we do the 245/40-18 all the time without issue (at stock ride height). Just dial up the perches a little !
