hey guys. I might be selling my 00 tip S and need some input for the value of it.

    black on black
t-belt service done at 86k miles
    new alternator at 86k miles
new torque converter installed by Eurocarwerk in houston @ 89k miles ($2800 w/receipts and parts/labor warranty that ends in feb 09)
    silicone hoses at 86k miles
abs module rebuilt at 80k miles
upper control arms replaced at 75k miles (by previous owner)
    drilled/slotted rotors
    silver painted calipers
    forge dv's
    35% tint all around
    a/c works perfect
    6disc in the back
    no scratches, one small dent
NEVER BEEN CHIPPED. no power upgrades.

    known issues:
    lcd display missing lines
needs a secondary air pump (or delete)
    leaking secondary water pump.
stock rims have been curbed by the previous owner.

also used castrol synthec 5W-40 every 3k for oil changes

The car is good to go, but i'm trying to buy a house, so I need to cutback and only have one car to pay on for now.

what could i get for it? with the expensive a$$ services, I was hoping to get in the $14k-$15 range.

Seems a little high. Saw a few 6MT sedans with similar mileage going for 11K around here.

It's worth what someone will pay for it. That said I would list it for around what you think its worth (14-15k I belive you wrote) or do a search of classifieds in various papers/web sites to get an idea. With the peoples view of the economy at this time it may not get top dollar.

Does seem kinda high, but it also depends on your area..whats the market like for S4's? In my area, that would be a high price. I'd say around 9-12K would be closer to what it would sell for. The price of S4's has really taken a shit in the last year or so.

Re: Value of the tip S

yeah, i was hoping to compensate dome of the money spent on it, although i did most of the work myself (except the TC) and will finish the rest of the problems, but I might as well go to carmax and sell it. They highball everything, so i think i could get a good quote from them. but i would hate to see this car go to some idiot thats gonna put 22" dubs or some crap on it. thats what people do around here. i think i saw a civic the other day with 20's.

i would rather see the car go to someone who's gonna maintain it for what it is and not for what the market value says it is.
