Help with a short shifter install.

Hey guys. So if i were to purchase a JHM solid short shifter, is there anyone that could help me do the install? Its not that I dont think i could do it. Kinda more the fact that I don't want to go out and buy tools. SoCal area, by the way. Also the JHM video makes it seem so brief anyway.

Also, 5 bucks for the "extra short" is easy money, but would the extra short be good? or too much?

    Thanks

I have done the JHM but ended up swapping it out for the Stratmosphere. If you are still keen on the JHM go the "extra short" with the stiffer reverse spring. The installation is not so hard a bit finicky and will take a few hours but the pain in the arse, particularly with the JHM is that it is so freaken difficult to the get the adjustment just right so that you can get reverse and 1/2 the way it should be.

I can help if you want, but gotta say that I'm probably not the best person to help as i'm not the most technically minded person. :)

Yeah I'm not worried so much about the nuts and bolts part as I am the adjustment part. I'm sure i'll be able to figure out how to unscrew the old one and screw the new one in, but I just don't know if I have the knowledge to know what is "right" and what is "wrong" in terms of the adjustments.

I'm debating buying it. If I purchased it, then help tweaking it and getting the reverse gear working would probably be appreciated. The nuts and bolts part doesnt seem to hard though. You think its worth the 260 + shipping clams?

You can have my JHM for cheap if you want to save some money, and you can just buy the reverse spring and the extra bits for the shorter shift?
