    Where to buy HIDs?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I went to order from these guys http://www.hidconcept.com/Kits-valeo.html but they are sold out of the D1S bulbs.

Where else can I get some? I would like to get something similar to the Valeo ones from either 4300K to a max of 6000K WHITE lights.

I have a pair of OE S4 that need some bulbs!

This is what you want, but not from this place, they want an arm and a leg: http://www.suvlights.com/product_inf...products_id=70 but honestly, I don't know where to get the 5400/6000K genuine Osram bulbs cheaper. The 4300K Philips kind, when in stock at Hidconcept is MUCH cheaper.

ok i feel like a moron for asking, but what size bulb do i get? H7? Also, any opinions on the best shade of light? I'm torn between 8000K and 10000K.

    Re: Where to buy HIDs?

^^depends, do u have halogens now? if u do, try and get new housings as they have HID projectors, now if have xenon housings get the D1S set up, and the lower the K the more powerful the light so 4300k is brighter than 6000k

I have 6000K H7 that haven't been used that I'd be willing to let go

Yeah, I was thinking about just waiting for HIDConcept to get some back in stock and then when those 4300K bulbs burn out I can just get new higher K ones if I choose.

I'm in a moderate rush though since my headlight on my halogen is burned out and I don't want to get a new one but it looks like I'm going to have to

    Audia4turbo22

I do have halogens now and i don't plan on getting new housings. I also know that the higher (10000K) bulbs aren't as bright but i like the blue tint. So what now? Are HID's going to look like shit without the projectors?

    Re: Where to buy HIDs?

^^uhm ur halogens have projectors, that round glass is a projector, but it is a halogen projector, u won't notice much of a difference from an HID projector, they will work, but technically it is illegal to have HID kits in Halogen cars or something like that. Now dude ur driving a luxo car well somewhat, and ur gonna make it look like an integra if u put 10000k HID's in there IMO, but do whatever u want, now the thing is u have a projector so the light will look much bluer than if u had no projector, so i think a 6000k kit is blue enough to where it looks kinda purple, so that should be ur limit.

6000K is definitely blue enough, and still fairly bright.

I know that my halogens have projectors already and that you were referring to HID style projectors. Give me SOME credit haha. Thanks for the advice guys. 6000K it is.

last I checked you could order just bulbs from VVME and they had D1S. I'll look again and post a link shortly if they still have em. If not I'd just browse ebay for a set, you can find em pretty cheap most of the time.

definitely don't go any bluer than 6k. Even 8k is kinda pushing it IMO, but still looks pretty good... just not as much light as i prefer to have.

Well I emailed HID Concepts and they are actually just sold out of the bubs and not the ballasts so I'm thinking about ordering the OEM ballasts and getting some D1S bulbs else where?!
