    Re: rear speakers not working

rear amp for sure.. this is gonna sound bad but try it... take off the passenger side trunk lining... fade your rear speakers all the way to the rear and turn the volume up to a reasonable level... now smack your amp on the side running parallel to the front-rear line of the car with something hard like a hammer. hit it near the bottom.. smack it a few times..

ps... im not joking.. i had the same issue and it ended up giving me another month of life out of the amp. loose connections somewhere

Edit: i removed the plastic vent in the lining and it gave me direct access to the perfect spot to smack my amp haha

    Re: rear speakers not working

well that doesnt sound good. can i swap out an aftermarket amp that i have. it is a 4 channel 500 watt peak pioneer premier amp

i think it is 125 rms at each channel.

another question, i am going to be hooking up subs in the near future, i know i can tap the rear speakers with a line level converter or something, but was wondering if the rear speakers were subs, and if they were there would be no drop in sound quality,

but what if i were to get a new head unit, would that help with my rear speakers at all?
