Reverse

My reverse lights wont turn off.... im driving and they auto. stay on, so i took the bulbs out so it doesn't confuse drivers behind me. would anybody know the problem or could help me out?

edit - i lied. maybe there's a switch somewhere around your shifter-doohicky which gets flipped when you go into "R" that's stuck in the "on" position kinda like a sticky brake light switch (under your brake pedal in most cars... maybe if this switch exists its near the position the shifter is in when in "R")

Nothing to contribute but i have had the shite scared out of me before because of this. i honked when the light turned green and the dude just went forward with the reverse white lights still on. i was so confused for a bit till i realized what had happened :). But seriously, i was so freaked out; i thought he didn't know he had it in reverse and when the light turned green he was just gonna stomp on the gas so i could get a 'closer' look at his bumper :(.

Why are you and i ALWAYS on at this time? I am supposed to be working on that thing i emailed you about yesterday and i of course... wondered onto here to see what the happenings are.

I wish i had been able to function correctly and roll up on him and tell him how stoked i was on his reverse light mod :( but i was seriously just kind of like 'wtf just happened'? it took me a bit to process and no, i wasn't 'doing the pots' or whatever the kids are calling it these days ;).

To the OP i wish i could help you out here but good job at least taking them out and not being a complete pile like my buddy in the duchey H3 in front of me. Maybe he didnt know so the name calling for that might not be necessary but he still had an h3 :) ZING!

there is a sensor on the top of your transmission. pull the sensor out, clean it, and plug er back in. just get on your back, facing up at your tranny, legs sticking out under the front of your car and run your hand over the top of the left hand side of the transmission. you will feel the sensor.. its fairly big
