    I had to change a tire on my B7 Avant and I can't get the jack back in the holder, how in the h e double hockeysticks do I get it back in? Please help.

    You have to crank it all the way down and it should fit in at a slight angle. Then you torque it up a bit. Or you could weld it in, but that creates a different problem.....

    I never use the oem jack for that very reason... bitch to put back in.

    Thanks guys, I figured it out. I actually broke the lid on the original and the new holder they sold me is slightly different, so it would have never fit anyway. I got it in by using the new lid on the old holder.

    I had a lot of trouble the first time, so I took a picture the second time.

    haha I couldn't get it back in either so I just threw it in the empty hole (since I don't have a spare)

    Thanks guys, the pic helped, plus now I have the "correct" holder for the jack. Dealer said it was a catalog error and even though I nearly demolished the first one they sold me, the gave me the right one with no problems...
