Looking for Cheap Winter tires for the stock sport 17's

I know its still summer but im looking into getting some winter/all season tires for my stock sport 17's which i will be putting back on once Snowboarding season starts up and use them till winter is up and then go back to my 19's.

I tried searching some tire options but mostly found performance tires, im not looking for anything new really maybe some used sets. if anyone is selling any winter/all season tires cheap for stock sport 17's, pm me.

the problem is... the OEM size for 17" snow tires.... you won't find anything cheap.

you have 2 options:

Minus 1 size, and get 16" steelies for cheap and mount 215/55r16 snow tires (Firestone Winterforce are nice and cheap, and perform exceptionally well, btw).

go with a smaller 17" tire, 205/50r17 is an approved Audi size for your application. Yes, the speedometer & odometer reads faster, but you have General Altimax Arctic for $88 a tire at tirerack.

or... in my case, 205/55r16 snow tires on 16" steelies, but I went with super expensive Nokian Hakka RSI (but you have more availability on cheap snow tires)

Also, the only other caveat is... the TPMS. you'll either need to get new ones (about $260 for a set of 4) or... live with the idiot light or disable with VAG-COM

Go down to 16s. I picked up some Blizzaks (215/55QR16) on closeout for $63 at Tire Rack. Throw in a set of steelies for $220 and you have a package for less than $500 plus shipping.
