    Ziza city light problem :(

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So I just got these in today and the first side works fine but the other side is another story. I now have a check engine light and the passenger side will not work at all with the old bulb or new. Anyone have any ideas on what happened. I have 12 volts at the plug but still no go. Will thecomputer cut power to the light til the check engine light is gone?

Re: Ziza city light problem :(

update.....the engine light went out and now both sides work...but in my attempt to diagnose the issue I pulled the working side out and the bulb fell into the housing. I know its in there but I cant find it. I used a magnet probe and a mirror probe with no luck. I put the car on ramps to see if it would roll back and no luck. Im so frustrated. I need to find some where to order a new bulb. Argh!!

You need resistors or equalizors for your license plate lights. I have it installed and no warning light and it works fine. The LED city light I ordered from buffaco (Not sure if I spelled his name right), look up the thread "Who wants LED City Lights". I have not yet heard a bad thing about it...

70,000 for an S4? No way. I just put together a Cab with every conceivable option and it was only 64k....

I HIGHLY doubt you have a "CHECK ENGINE LIGHT" from these light bulbs I'm pretty sure you meant a bulb out warning on DIS

I don't think that the system will cut the power even with the load being different. Lots of people are running LEDs with a different load with the DIS warning.

No I actually mean a check engine light (engine symbol with lightning bolt through it) The whole time it was on nothing out of bulb the moment it went off light came back on. But even though the lights wouldnt work (factory or after-market) I had 12 volts the whole time?? Weird I say...weird.

Have you tried disconnecting the negative battery terminal to let the ECU reset?

    Just an idea...

Everything is working now, it reset it self. I just need a new bulb cuz I lost it inside the housing.
