So been on here for a while, trying to sell my old a6 2.7t tip and get into a 6-speed s4 for months, and finally found a buyer for the 6 and a seller for the perfect s4. This thing has been meticulously cared for, with a folder about 2 inches thick of documented servicing, etc. It's got about 57k miles, and the best part? New Turbos at 50k! Plus the timing belt job was done then as well, along with axles, brakes, tires, and front seats (not sure why, but works for me, hehe). It's an '02 silver/black, completely stock.
Now, the fun part: So after waking up at 5:30 and not being able to get back to sleep due to excitement, I ended up leaving the house around 9 to head to the bank to get the money to pay the guy, and was on my way to the city; not a short drive. Anyways, get there around 1:30, guy shows up around 215ish, and we work out a deal. Got all the papers finalized, everything was together, all that was left to do was get to a jersey DMV before closing time; 4:30. It's now 2:50. So in the car we go, hitting, of course, massive traffic, but manage to get out of it a littler after 3. Fast forwarding a little, we miss the right exit and end up having to swerve across 3 lanes of traffic to catch the next one to get on the right track at the last second, always a fun experience So we manage to do that, and get on the next road, but in the wrong direction... =| yeah. So we turn around, and still manage to get there for 4:05. Head in (my names jason btw, youll see how it matters in a sec), they give us the papers we need, and we start filling them out. The lady comes over... "Okay chris, I'm gonna need to see your license" Ummm, what? .... Apparently the seller signed his information on the title in the buyer column and I put mine in the seller column..... and now we need a new title, resigned and everything . So NOW, I gotta go back to the city AGAIN to get the itle, get the plates, and go back AGAIN, all on a friday night mind you, to FINALLY get this car lol. Maybe it'll be lucky though since it's 08/08/08
