Blacked out grills and fog grills installed...

So... I finally trimmed the fog grills to fit in and blacked out the upper, lower grills, and license plate holder... looks great in my opinion with the boser...

So here is a before...

I'm undecided about the quattro badge.... the rear is debadged so it may complete the only rings chrome look... we'll see.. and thanks Kirk, I know you were dying to see them blacked out.. lol

^^dude, it is the best color next to ming if u ask me might even surpass it! if i were u, i'd get a USP lower do the vinny mod paint it and call it a day, that car would be superb. the hood fits in well though.

I already have a S4 bumper but need to source the grills and what not before I put it on... unfortunatly there are other things I need to do besides the car... lol

How do you black out a grill? Sorry for being a newb..;-)

^^^ it is real easy.. pop your grills out and then remove the chrome trim piece. Then I sanded the chome plastic piece. Then I used Plastidip spray paint, two coats, then sanded and applied a third coat. Snap it all back together and you are done. You can get the Plastidip at a hardware store in the spray paint section..

you should photoshop your rings black to see how that would look now that you have a blacked out grill

That is an idea but I won't be doing that. I really like the rings to stand out on the grill and trunk. If I was to black them out, I would be forced to do the rear also to match do to my OCD..

looks really good man! when i did mine, i went ahead and painted the entire grill as well as just the chrome surround.. came out looking brand new!

^^^ Really, it must of been tough to get under the slats and what not. My grill sections look perfect so I didn't really think that was necessary.

used to have blacked out rings myself, the chrome really gives it a classy look and actually makes the car look much better.
