New here and a couple kill stories

Well, I'm not really new here just been lurking for awhile and posting a couple times but I never really introduced myself

I recently bought a santorin blue 01.5 s4 6sp a few months ago but never shared the wealth with u guys
I bought it in april with 56000 miles on it and that same day I was involved in a tragic bagle cutting incident which left me with a severed nerve in my left index finger(the whole right side of my finger was completely numb) and 11 stitches across my hand(pics below) But aside from my left hand being completely useless for a bit I couldn't resist the power and smoothness of the S.
I kept it stock for maybe a week or two before I
chipped it(APR)
Since then
SSAC downpipes, testpipes, and catback have been installed as well as a
5% tint all around and a
lil' bump in da trunk(JL 12W6 purchased from a member on here).
Oh and 710n dv's and a samco TBB

The next mod I plan on doing is the darintake mod. A friend of mine who drives a mazdaspeed 3 said I should definitely get a cold air intake If i have a turbo car. He says he sees gains of like 20-30hp or something. Just wondering if it's the same with our cars.

Needless to say the car's amazing, its so damn hard to stay outa boost its ridiculous.

The only hiccups I've had thus far are a torn cv boot, a faulty egt sensor, and a leaking coolant tank. All were fixed by the guys over at USP motorsports. Chris is a great guy and helped me out a lot, props to him.

You can kinda see my left hand in a splint in the reflection. Thats from the surgery I had about a month ago to repair the torn nerve. I could not move my left index finger AT ALL for a month.. It sucked..

I got my first few decent runs in a few weeks ago..

the first was against a random TL s (mods unkown) but we raced from a 40 roll up to about 120 and by the end of it I was about 1.5-2 car lengths ahead of him. Does that sound about right for a stage 2+?

I recently raced a 318i with an e36 m3 swap from a dig and put about a bus length on him by 100mph.We ran a couple times and it was the same turnout each time.Nothin spectacular I know but I was happy with the results.

And some lesser kills but kills nonetheless were against two rsx's, i think they both had intake and exhaust, but a few lengths on both of em.
And a civic hatch back, which I put maybe a boeing 747 or two on him.
Probably a waste of gas in most peoples eyes but hey I just love the power of the S.

My luck ran out against an srt-4, we went from about 45 he let me get a head start even, but then he just blew past me like I was going in reverse, In my defense it was a 50 trim so the outcome was expected.

Yeah, there are very little gains from a CAI on these cars. The factory airbox does a pretty good job. The CAI will make the turbos more audible, but in terms of performance the darintake with a K&N filter would be fine.

welcome, nice color :-p... I think Santorin is almost more rare than noggy in this car, you see so few Santorins and when they are clean you cant beat the color. I had my whole car repainted since I wanted that super shiny look lol.

Yea those mazdaspeeds are real quick. I ran him when I first got my chip put in and all he had was a CAI and from a 20 roll up to about 80 he put about a length on me, but that was when I was a pretty bad driver lol. I learned manual on this car and he's a very good driver, he ran a 13.7 in that thing.

Do we see any significant gains from the darintake? He had me convinced for a minute to go and buy a cai as soon as possible cuz the stock intake is so close to the motor and gets really hot or some shit. Any thing relatively factual with this statement?

I was so amped to go drive the S I even had a brand new 80's cd I was gonna rock out to but no I needed to eat something first lol. before I knew it I was in the "emergency" room with a big chunk of skin just flappin around. I say "emergency" because when you go there u expect immediate attention amirite? but not for me I had to sit in the waiting room for 3 fuckin hours and then another hour before the doc finally saw me. Yea USP is the shit, they helped me out so much on my car and they're just nice people to deal with.

Nah I haven't been to any meets around here. Although I may go to towers this weekend but my idea of a meet is people get together and then go get some runs in or something. I heard that Towers was a cop sponsored event so wtf is the point of that, unless you like to just chill in a parking lot with all ur homies.
I did go down to a U-gas down on us 27 and okeechobee a couple weeks ago, got some decent runs in down there but its far as fuck and its mostly rice. I saw one blue b7 A4 there and some nice evos, vettes, a supra, and some nice vdubs tho.

haha. that's funny you mentioned that, cause I actually went to Autodreams with the S4 this time... it was only really because they were the only GIAC rep in SFL at the time , although I have had mixed experiences w/ USP... I mean, they definitely helped me out big with the c/o's on my GTI once, but I always felt like I was getting attitude from the staff... it must be from dealing with clueless kids all the time, but I was definitely not a newb then nor am I now, so it was a little bit of a turn-off.

I'm in Miami if you need help with anything. If you're going to UM, the boys at German Motoring on US1 can def. help you out too!

yea dude the usp guys always talk to you like they know more even though when they built the gt?? s4 it spooled at like 5700 rpm lol so they obvioulsy dont know as much as they pretend but yea theyre dicks there imho but autodreams is nice and teddy is a cool guy he helps me out alot ... and im goin to fiu for pre med then UM for med ... also i do all my own work on my car and soon might get a house which i will put a lift in heheh so no worries here on workin on my car lol maybe ill end up helpin you haha
