    headlight fog...

I've been doing a 'joey mod'' few weeks ago without issue but its raining here for almost 6-7 days and I see a little fog into both headlight. I did take a long time to seal the lense when I did the mod. I used a body sealer that seems like rubber when dry and I thought it s a good stuff to seal it right. Does anybody experienced it and what do you thik I should do??? Should I remove bulbs and dry the inside I then put back bulbs?? Any idea? Is there a oneway vent on the headlight?

just start driving around with your headlights caps off so that air can go in and dry it out.

    Re: headlight fog...

If you sealed the lights well, water is probably leeking in through the headlight adjustment screw. water runs down the fender edge under the hood and funnels right onto this screw. I swapped out my O-rings and all fog/condensation is gone.

Search for headlight condensation or similar.

Remember this O ring fix is only associated with the BiXenon S4/A4 housings with the single rear housing cover. The non Bixenon housings with the two small rear covers don't use the adjuster with the O ring seal.

To the OP, the housings are not sealed at all, they are fully vented, If the fogging is only a very light misting on the lens, that is normal. The other situation is heavy, persistant condensation that never clears away completley. If the condensation on the lens consists of heavy water droplets, that is more or less always present, then you need to remove the housings and completely dry the interiors of the housings. There is some tight spots in the bottom of the housings that traps water, use a hair dryer to make sure the water is completely dried out. Then, find out where the water is leaking into the housings and fix the leak.
