Ok, so now lets talk B6 sport suspension

In my wheel thread, several people recommended to put sport suspension on my Avant before putting the 19s on. A few also noted how great the 02's look with the sport suspension. So, if I was to buy a used sport suspension, for it to look the best does it need to be an 02 vintage suspension or will any B6 sport suspension yield the best results on my 02 Avant?

'02 was the lowest (height wise) of all the B6 years but why not save a little more coin and get some coilovers? Nothing wrong with taking your time. You can find Stassis SS or Vogtlands for around ~$1000. Check out the GB's...

I'm not saying it's cheap but I think long term you will be happier. Try and look for a used set of coilovers? This is all just my opinion but I've always been from the school of thought that thinks suspension then wheels.

The only thing I don't like about how it looks on my Avant is that there is more of a gap between the front tire and the front wheelwell when compared to the rear. I want coil overs to just even things out. And lower it more

I agree with you but i can live with the extra gap and save a bunch of money on coils

Or you can buy a set of Eiback springs. They are just a TAD bit lower than the 02 sport springs and ride better too.

BTW, I will be selling my Eiback springs in the next 4-5 days

i have an 02 sedan with sport suspension and an 05 USP avant with sport suspension..

i was actually contemplating swapping the 02 suspension to my new 05 USP avant, even though the 02 suspension is 3 years older and has 32k more miles.. but decided for all the effort and alignments on both, etc i could just pick up a set of eibachs or h&rs..

though the real question i havent answered yet, is how much difference is there between 02 and newer sport suspensions.. so as soon as i get a chance i will measure..

ironically the USP didnt come with the USP 18" wheels.. instead it has the 17" 5-spoke sport package wheels (same as my 02 sedan).. so wheel/tire height will not be a factor..

I have quite a few mods on my car, but coils are probably my favorite

I have also lol... this is my 3rd set of suspension but with the PSS9s I couldnt be happier

I'm ditching the sport suspension next year in favor of coil overs. Torn between PSS9s or Tracksports.

or if you want to sacrifice daily comfort for a firm ride and sick handling, go with tracksports and 35mm front 29mm rear sway bars

I drove Clint's car and really like it. What do the PSS10s add over the 9s?

What's the sport front sway dia? I have the RS4 rear which I think is 22mm?

iirc the stock sport front sway is 28mm. yeah the rear RS4 is 22mm. I run 22mm and 32H&r front, now I need that PSS9.
as for PSS9, i think it's just for newer generationed cars or models such as the A3.

PSS10s just make the adjustment knob bigger and some other thing, there is no difference in performance
