    Upgrade Turbocharger K04-015 ?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Driving B6A4 1.8T TIP and ish damn slow.. so I was about to get GIAC done, but I found this K04 UPGRADE TURBOCHARGER on Ebay.
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/UPGRA...spagenameZWDVW

Can I just replace stock one with this without adding or changing other parts such as bigger intercooler or something?
If it can be replaced without any changing parts, I'm guessing it would be almost same $$$ with chippin GIAC.
I have no knowledge on Turbo.. Help me ouT~~~

Either way you need an intercooler clutch injectors exhaust.

    And still would need software!
Look at the #'s between Stage 1+ and K04... it's hardly worth it to go K04.

I love how that turbo says "K04-15 upgrade" stamped on it, hahaha, that's genuine vag parts for sure ;)

I'm confused that it's fake or not.
And even if it is, I still need a chip and other parts to improve HP and torque?
Can HP & Torque be improved if I just replace it into stock one?

Ebay + turbo = not a good idea. Don't buy it unless you want problems

    Re: Upgrade Turbocharger K04-015 ?

Exactly... I did stage 1+ for about 900 bucks, that included injectors and software... it makes like 10 less horsepower than the K04... and stage 1+ responds well to exhaust and FMIC, so there's room for improvement if I want to in the future.

I considered the K04 when I saw a good deal in the classifieds... but it's just not worth it, IMO.

So I should get GIAC. Just can't find APR or Revo around GTA.
    Only GIAC in Independant.

Revo is at Cedarbrae VW, I believe... and APR is at Mittler Motors in Newmarket. You can also likely get a deal at Vagkraft, as I believe APR will be there... their usual special is buy one program (500 bucks) and get one free (180 value) or buy two programs (680) and get everything else... which works out to be over a thousand dollar 'value'.

    I just bought 91 octane and got 93 free... I still haven't used 93. :P

    Re: Upgrade Turbocharger K04-015 ?

Yeah... it's a show, this Sunday.

Obviously I'm not certain that the APR sale will be available... but I have a feeling. I was originally waiting for Vagkraft to get chipped myself, but APR had a sale in July so I just did it at Mittler motors. If the APR dudes are at Vagkraft, which I think they are, I imagine they'll have some good stuff happenin'.
