Anyone know if one or which part number will fit in our cars. Pictures of fitment would be nice too. Thanks

I've used optimas in several other cars over the years, and I've never seen a battery as stable, or last as long as the OEM battery in our cars...

    IMHO, OEM ftw!

I've had the yellows as well... they're a great battery to run dead and come right back... I'm not knockin the optimas at all...

I'm just basing this on personal observation... Lately I've been workin on the a4 on weekends, with the stereo on for 7-8hrs straight and never had a noticable drop when starting the car at the end of the day... I've had similar systems in other cars, and have had to start it every couple hrs or so...they'd always start (optima), but with a noticable drop in voltage as well...

    just my opinion...

This is still a fairly new OEM battery...give it another year or two of abuse, and some cold weather, and maybe I'll change my tune

I reused the factory mount, by screwing it down inplace where I needed it.

Just to clarify 35 or 75 group red top?

    GROUP 35 = SC35A 720CCA
    OR
    GROUP 75/25DT = SC75U 720CCA

    I can get a brand new SC35A for $134.15

Optima's are crappy an overpriced. I've had 3 completely die on me (beyond the point of return) and although they were all exchanged it was still a pain.

get a light weight battery and call it a day lol

that coupled with a few dead hookers in the trunk should almost totally offset the weight distribution and give you perfect 50/50

The oem battery is good but @ ~60lbs...geez. Get the redtop 35 (33lbs)which has the correct post orientation. I used the oem clamp and some heavy duty velcro and that baby is secure.

shit i have a 97 vw with an updated sound system, 10k HID lows (running lights) and fogs, trunk neon, and interior neon, and i am still running on the original battery. That thing is 11 years old and still going. I don't know if i got a random fluke battery or what, but that just seems impossible. I don't know how it's still going.
