    Coilpack failure vs. MAF problems

    Is there any way to tell the difference without popping the hood (symptoms while car is on, smells, vibrations, etc.)?

    How could you tell the difference between the two? Seems as if they have similar effects on the car..

    Coil pack == rough idle, vibrations when driving, flashing CEL

    just misfire codes on the cylinder that has the bad pack if i remember correctly, it's been awhile.

    ^^ well if it's a bad pack it should be on a single cylinder, not Random/Multiple i would think.

    im getting similar codes, my car revs and drives perfect until it hits 12psi then is spudders bad and cuts boost to 5 psi is that a MAF most likely, its really consistent
