CEL o2 sensor need some help

    I have a stock 2002 Audi A4 1.8T (non Q).

Recently (4-5 days ago) the CEL light came on and finally had time to get it hooked up. I used the crappy Autozone machine and it came up with a reading of p0030 bank 1 sen 1 heater ctrl circ. I assume this is the pre-cat heated o2 sensor. Dealership is quoting me around $400 to change this. Ridiculous. Is this sensor easy to get to and change? From all of the posts and such it looks to be on the passenger side and easy to change. I am thinking of going with the Bosch sensor that already has the adaptor and such (I know they are much cheaper if I do the wiring). Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. TIA!

ECS has some and i forget the other places but they're all in the same ballpark, people usually replace both at the same time. Get the parts yourself and bring it to your local auto repair shop. Its not brain surgery any mechanic can do it.

ECS and dealer prices aren't much different after shipping.

Probably going to try and do it myself. Does that sensor have anythign to do with a rough idle after a cold start? I know it has something to do with the a/f mix, but noticing a little bit of a rough idle every once in a while.

ECS routinely has those on sale, which makes them way cheaper than the dealer. I did have to wait a while for mine though.
