    Adding a 12V outlet

I would like to add a 12V outlet to the rear ashtray area behind the center console. Currently my front one is constanly used by my kid's DVD player and would like to free it up.

Does anyone know if the B6 or B7 cars came with that option, which would mean there are parts for them available for easy install?

You can go to your local auto parts store and buy a 12v outlet that you can tap into the other one with and run the wire behind the console. The one I bought had a mounting bracket also which I used for my GPS.

Basically what he said. A radioshack or something sells a DC outlet with a red and black wire that you need to wire in, if you want a constant signal, you can get it from the block under the kickpanel on the drivers side, if you want switched power hit up the ignition wire
