    red alarm light stays on

Today I hardwired my Valentine V1 following the DIY guide in the forums. It was working fine all day and then i realize later its off, and the dome lights dont work at all anymore. When i went to lock the car the little red alarm led in the driver door that usually lights intermittently was instead now constantly lit. It sounds like it might be a fuse, although i haven't had time to pull it apart tonight as it is dark out and my garage is full, it could just be a connection or something! Anyone heard of these symptoms before? I guess I will have to tear it apart in the morning...

yeah but this time, instead of beeping when it arms and flashing, it makes no beep and just turns on, which i predict is some sort of a code its trying to tell me.

I have a similar problem except I installed a trailer wiring harness in my 03 Avant about 3 weeks ago.

Now when I lock/arm the car, the red light blinks for about 5 seconds then goes solid red and after about 1 or 2 minutes then it starts blinking. The doors all lock but it doesn't give the audible beep anymore.

I've checked all the fues in the panel and everything looks to be in order. I'm thinking I might have a grounding problem somewhere.

Let me know if you find a solution.

what you are describing is exactly what mine does. I found the culprit for the dead dome lights, it was the fuse in slot 38 i believe. I will go get a new fuse later and see if that clears everything up.

Yohan, For me replacing the blown fuse resolved the problem, my car locks and arms as it did before. Not sure if this helps you, good luck with fixing your problem.

Did you turn the valet mode on? Or the anti-towing sensor off?

No, they're both off. Checked the fuse panel as well, they're all fine.
