    Oil Temp Problem

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I have a 2000 A4 ATW B5. Recently I have noticed that my oil temp gauge goes from 350+ and all of a sudden drops all the way. I did some research but not sure if its the sensor or gauge? If its the sensor, how do I change it? Any help, please? Thanks

change your sensor first and then see if it still happens. the sensor is right above the oil cooler. i believe that it is a black screw on sensor.

if it still happens its probably the gauge. if your temp is really getting that hot i believe that your engine temp would also burst and have a nice choco milkshake in your coolant expansion tank.

    Re: Oil Temp Problem

i could be wrong but i thought on the ATW engines the oil temp sensor was part of the oil level sensor in the bottom of the pan. Like i say i could be wrong though.
