    Interior detailing question....

I have an 08 TT with black interior..There were some whitish scuff marks on the inside of the drivers door when I picked up the car new from the dealer. When I use a cleaner they go away, but then re-appear? Any suggestions on what to clean them up permanently with? thanks! Scotty

    Back to black?

That may just be covering up a flaw that needs to addressed though.

Yes..back to black.. I have a feeling it is either wax or some kind of sticky substance-backing on something from the factory.. the white goes away when I use meguiars interior cleaner, but then re-appears after a few days! Scotty

    Re: Interior detailing question....

**if it's actually ON the leather, NOT a scratch**
you could try using something a bit more abrasive, such as an orange agent (most common one being goo gone). be careful in doing so, since you don't want to be TOO harsh on the leather, drawing out the color or wearing into the leather too much.

once removed, you can use a leather lotion (some prefer something like zymol) to put some moisture back into the area, and to give it a little protection.

I would take it to the dealer before you screw up the leather even further with all these extra cleaners / chemicals just my 2 cents
