Is the Giac X chip all its cracked up to be? I've got a speed tuning chip and its a one bar and is getting quite boring. What kind of numbers is the GIAC X putting out? I need a lil more zip. Anybody can compareit to the other 1 bar chips out there I would greatly appreciate it.

We've had a lot of customer's that are happy with them. Disclaimer is that nobody wants to shell out $500 for every company to chip/tune their car to see which one they like better.

Personally, I'm going to stick with Unitronic. When the day comes that I need a custom tune, they're a hell of a lot closer than GIAC is.

Somewhat back on subject. GIAC and Uni are typically more of the aggressive flashloads, if you're gettin bored with it, make some more power.
There's plenty of threads dedicated to making more power.

I got the Speed tuning chip done for 125 as part of their intro/publicity talker thing that was goin on. So it's a small price, and I can re-coup it just by selling the ECU alone and getting a spare one from my boss's buddies junkyard.

Not worth it imo, it's not that big of an increase in power and you'll get bored quickly all over again. I'd save the money for an eliminator if you're getting bored with your chipped a4. I have a dahlback chip, which is imo better than the giac x chip, I'm considering putting it up for sale/trade. I wish I would have saved that money and stayed stock until I went BT.

some people can't wait that long, like me. I forgot how slow my car used to be until this week when I drove a customer's car.
