the sport seats will probably not be available here in the US. They weren't with the B7...I hope I"m wrong. The seats in the B7 A4 suck.

i got this confirmed today, these seats will be in the new b8 sline. : ) hell yeah. I am going to test drive the a4 tomorrow. They got one at my local dealer, arrived today! wohoo!

I really wish that they would offer the cloth seats over here. I think we'll only get the leather. I currently have a 2000 A4 with the cloth sport seats and love them. I like the look of the cloth sports in this picture from ludoboy.

In the standard photo, I see 3 sets of buttons on the driver's door. I see the lock/unlock button to the right of the door lever. I see the window and mirror controls on the arm rest, but what are the buttons that are just below the door lever?

i think the reason they no longer offer leather is because it is seen as a downgrade or "not up to par" with the competition in american society.

Two questions: The S-Line seats are leather or it is upholstery where you sit? Because I ask the dealer at their launch party.. and he said that the S-Line is all leather....
Can you order the S-Line package now.. is it available to buy because on the new order guide it say "PQX option is currently unavailable for ordering." ?

S-Line w/alcantara FTW! I think the B7 A4 seats are more comfortable than the B8 seats. The seat bottoms seem too short or too narrow compared to the B7, plus they seem a little firmer. Firm is fine but they need the correct ergos to go with it.

I too prefer the all leather. I'm not a fan of fabric grabbing material.
The bolsters should you in not the fabric.

It does like, almost, like the Sline seats may a touch more thigh bolster and maybe a touch more torso/side. But, overall they look like the same seat.
The all leather looks more inviting and nicer.

The B8 is too short? The sport seats have thigh extensions.
That is one of the things that makes BMW sport seats so comfy and fantastic is the thigh extension. It provides support you didn't know you needed.

I can't speak for comparison as I haven't sat in the new A4 seats.
However, I can see that the sport seats have much better adjustment than the B7 seats do, along with thicker side and thigh bolsters.
