    The log won't open, but the video is on par. Just remember, just becuase a log might look good today doesn't mean it will a week from now. Log at least once a week.

    Kirk, yes that was WOT (Wide Open Throttle, IE: floored it)

    RLB6, do you really think my car is slow based the mods i have? Like i said, i have never ridden in a car with a stage 3 1.8t so i honestly don't know if my car is performing the way it should or not. If you really think it's not performing the way it should please take a look at the log and let me know if anything sticks out.

    I did notice that my actual boost is a little less then the specified but it wasn't any great amount.

    Like i have said before, i am not trying to get every little pony i can out of her, but i don't want the slowest stage 3 setup on the forums ether :P If something isn't right i want to take care of it.

    Why is your actual boost off from your requested? When you get in the 2****mbar you aren't getting anywhere near your requested.

    yeah you must have a boost leak or something... you never hit requested boost (unless you have a mbc) it kinda looks like you are running off just the wastegate.

    i'm going to redo the FMIC this weekend because i don't like the way it's sitting anyway, see if it's any better after that and take it from there.

    after thinking about your mention of running off the wastegate i had a thought, I needed to replace the wastegate actuator, maybe i didn't adjust the turnbuckle correctly?

    I'm not doubting that YouTubes time stamp is off, but you going from 20mph-60 took about 5-6 seconds. I think a stage 1+ could do 0-60mph and only take slightly longer. Definitely check for a boost leak of something. Hope you find out what it is, as I plan on doing a GTRS on my tip in the future.

    That explains why that tach is not rising as quickly as it should. There's gotta be a leak somewhere or a faulty DV. Everything else appears to be in order.

    i was gonna say that it looked pretty damn slow compared to the way that mine moved. wasnt sure if it was cuz he's auto or what (to lazy to pull up the logs)

    Run a boost leak check to confirm no boost leaks. Here is a DIY: http://audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=189114


    The turnbuckle on the WG actuator should be tight. Mine have always been set so I have to pull on it a tad just to get it onto the WG arm on the turbine housing.

    What SPS3 settings are you on?

    the DV is a hybrid D-BOV which is set to vent about 20% out and recirculate the rest. I imagine it's working fine since i can hear the woosh, i could be wrong tho. the spring rate on it is adjustable, maybe i should try to tighten it up abit?

    Yes, the MAF is stock, how i got those readings i do not know.

    I am pretty sure that the wastegate was fully closed and had some pressure on it to hold it closed (i pulled the actuator arm up to the wastegate arm and had my girl connect the turnbuckle while i was holding the arms in place.

    I didn't get the SPS3, just running on whatever the shop set. they said to bring it back and they would adjust the timing anytime i wanted if i ever wanted to turn it up a bit.

    I'll do that boost leak check this weekend, still going to redo the FMIC and piping anyway though.

    Invest in an SPS3. You can make timing and boost changes and really be able to tweak your set-up to optimize power (boost and timing advance).

    I definitely think there's a leak... My car pulls a bit faster than that and I'm stage 1+ with dp, dv, tip, fmic. But then again, I'm FWD and CVT so I've got less drivetrain loss and no time between shifts

    the DIY boost tester says to use 2.5"OD hose, isn't the inlet on the GTRS smaller then that? i have the small adapter that it came with, not the larger optional one. does anyone know what size the K0x/small GTRS inlet is?

    I understand that, and at some point i will. But I just spend allot on the turbo, flash, cat, downpipe, exhaust (well, my lady got me that), TIP (apr since i was planing on just replacing my K04 and not going to the GTRS), FMIC, break pads, tires, ect. so it's time for a little spending break. I just want it to be running the way it should.

    Your car is about as fast as mine when I'm at part throttle. You have to turn up your boost and timing a bit with an SPS3. When I had the revo stg 3 flashed the tuner said it was set at B7, T5. If you're only boosting 13lbs, you probably have a boost leak somewhere or you were flashed at a lower boost/timing setting. And my suggestion only, and others may disagree, install a OEM dv or better, junk the K&N and get a neuspeed extreme tip.

    I'm having a hard time reading his MAF logs but it looks like his max maf reading is 209(?). This maybe due to the smaller inlet pipe. Mine readsa max of 229.

    Running with that small inlet is not going to allow you to have it "be running the way it should".

    I don't think $39 is going to break the bank, considering you spent this much money on this setup thus far. One would think you'd want to squeeze every once of potential out of your investment. The fact that your tiptronic equipped doesn't help the situation either.

    Take it from me. Hell, PM me your info, I'll purchase that larger inlet for you.

    $39 i can swing, but the nuspeed TIP alone is like $300 if i remember right. I am guessing that $39 is just for the inlet adapter to replace the tiny one it came with?

    I plan on getting a SPS3 at somepoint, just not right now.
    and the DV-BOV i have can be run in complete DV mode. It's all solid aliumium, thing was over $300 it's a really nice one, fully adjustable spring rate.

    it's an APR inlet pipe, that is new also since i was not planing on going GTRS last winter, just replacing the dead K04.
    but the APR TIP fits the K0x and small inlet for the GTRS, not the larger one.

    i know it's not going to spool as fast as it could but at this point i think i have a bigger issue with the missing boost.

    happy weekend everyone.

    OK! Built one of them cool little pressure testers, has a valve on it and all, i'll post some photos sometime next week. but the great news is that i found a leak! this is good because i didn't feel like pulling the turbo to try to adjust the wastegate if a leak was not the problem. it was he small hose from the N75 to the wastegate actuaitor, the pipe clamp had sliced into the hose at the N75 side, i couldn't get it it past 10psi with my compressor trying to fill the system. i replaced the damaged hose with some extra boost hose i had so that should be all set now. I want to cleanup the FMIC piping a little bit and just make it all more compact, once thats done i should get to fire it up this afternoon and see how it performs and get a new set of logs.

    OH, and guess the f*#@ what? my second APR snub installed...... COMPLETELY GONE~! WTF!?! the first one cracked in half and was barley hanging on. ordering a new one today, how is the nuspeed one?

    Save yourself the headaches and buy a Stern snub. I have yet to hear anyone say their Stern snub cracked.
