    Arrows on pistons (stupid question)

    put my stock Aeb pistons back in on scat rods and forgot if the arrow on the piston went towards the front of the motor or the back....they are in facing the front now because this is what i thought i remembered...let me know

    what arrows, you mean the small indentatios on the outer diameter surface? of so those go towards the oil cooler, meaning towards the driver`s side.

    you can kinda see the arrows there...

    the arrows go towards the front... its pretty obvious since the indent on the perimeter is for the center intake valve lol... but on a more serious note, you really should have marked or noted everything before or as you took it apart...

    i did mark all the pistons 1 2 3 4 and marked everything else on a pad of paper like im supposed too, all my bolt are in individual bags marked where and position they go. I just somehow forgot to mark that for the pistons...anyways i installed them right just sometimes my memory sorts and i didn't want it to happen again, but i figured it was for the intake valve in the center. Just had to make a tool to get my retainer clips back in on the valve and just got it done ready to install head...im pumped to get this thing running

    i'm sure that is to just tell you the direction that it suppose to go. Also it should be facing toward forward
