    Re: Roof Rails

here you can see how the stuff works

Start by taking off the middle section in the back of your seling
    when that one is removed
remove the 2 reversed triangles that hold your ''qurtain''
there are lill parker screw's---> + type
then you go on and losen up the ones that are behind the ''clicking'' system where you can put the black roll qurtain
those ones are torque screws, they are behind the lill stuff you can click in
sorry but i can't describe it
    hope pics will help!

you should take them off and sell them to me I am trying to make a custom factory rail set for a sedan. I want to cut some sections out of them and weld them back together, keeping the middle support beam of course. And mount them on the sedan. Then i'm gonna mount my snowboard attachment to them. I think it will be cool and unique. Anyone else here who wants to sell them?

I think he said that he used an OEM weather strip that is the same as the stock ones.. just without the holes. That's lucky for you B7 owners if that's what he did.. my C5 has the rails next to the weather stripping :(

There will be 2 screws under each handle. They are covered by a trap door like plastic piece. Get a flathead screwdriver and they should pop open pretty easily.
