All Blinkers/corner Lights Wont Turn Off!!! Help!!!

So I have a pretty big problem right now. I performed a dash conversion on my 99 b5 a4 2.8 quattro and have the facelift controls and hazard light switch/button. this was quite a while ago, about 6months. now I am experiencing issues with the blinkers getting stuck in the "on" position, even if I push the hazard button in and out. I have also tried to turn them off with the turn signal stock on the steering wheel..it makes the click sound once and then stops. The lights are still ALL on, from front to the back, as well as the arrows on the dash are stuck on and lit. I have to disconnect the battery everytime i turn off the car so it does not kill my battery. the lights even stay on when i shut off the car!!!!! I also need this fixed asap beacause all turn signals are on constantly!

things i have tried and have not worked: disconnect hazard switch from harness wiring-lights are still on without the hazard switch even being connected!!! weird..... i have also tried removing all fuses associated with the emergency, corner lights, harzards, etc.... even with the fuse out they are still on!!!!!

someone with expertise please help!

Probably the stalk switch in the steering column, Hellas.

Hazard relay is easier to replace in the console and under $30 but if you disconnected it and still have the prob, I would start looking at the stalk switch. This is a common failure item.

The only other thing it could be is the central locking module since it is wired into the turn signal circuit also. Its easy to get to in the trunk, but after pulling the connectors, you might have to recode your remotes.

thank you for the response. so i can eliminate the problem being from teh hazard relay then if it still has a problem when disconnected.( the relay is the switch that plugs into the harness correct? i just want to get the terminology right). so i will look into the stalk but first i want to try the central locking module. when i find it, do i replace it, or only pull the connectors and put them bag in or.... how can i know if the module is faulty or not?

Chances are the problem is the stalk switch since you disconnected the flasher relay switch in the center of the dash. Its not hard to get to but does require you to remove the steering wheel and airbag first. DIY & pics. < last one is just for visual reference to pull the wheel & stuff.

Hey, yeah on the lock module, its in the trunk. Theres a diy here. Remember if you pull the power to it, theres a chance you will have to recode your remotes to the car. Theres a couple of DIYs on that. You must have at least 2 keys to do this.

If you pull the middle connector first, then the outside two, the problem should go away if the CL box is it. Reconnect in reverse order.
