B8 styling ehhh maybe it will grow on my like the B7 waterfall grill when it was revealed in 05/06. The only b8 style i would consider is Sline (prestige...ghey..whatever) or S4/RS4.

Two things from the article:

1. In terms of when to expect the B8 S4 stateside we have also confirmed that September 2009 is the date for North America. That makes it a 2010 model year vehicle here. Dealers will start taking deposits not long after the car goes on sale in Europe.

2. We have been told - by people who would know because they have B7 RS4's in their own personal garages - that the B8 S4 is more fun to drive than the RS4.

Should make for lots of fun...now if we could only get them to bring the Avant as well!

That issue is listing 2009 cars... so the S4/RS4 is dead... and will be back for 2010 (maybe). In this case I think even the B7 S4 production has stopped, so it truly is dead, because the usually continue production with the old platform even when the new platform A4 is released.

Its likely that NO 2009 S4/RS4 models will be produced, the B7 is dead in all forms, for production purposes. The B8 A4 will come out and you'll have to wait a year or two for the B8 S4.

Anyone who read that C/D article and thought 'no more S4 ever' is an idiot and part of the rumor spreading problem.
