Hints: Build is currently under way. there were some serious hangups with getting a few choice parts.

hints: ethanol, BIG turbo, built motor. details to come. 2 weeks as of yesterday....of course break-in will follow thereafter, tie up a few loose ends, a couple of partial tunes during break-in, etc etc. itll be a month or so until I have some real #s to post. I have photo documented most of the process to date, so I will post the whole thing when we have a running car.

Unless it was custom made in your garage or a 1 off turbo its been done. Oh wait, unless your doing a T6 flanged turbo.

If your talking about all of it including the ethanol then yes you would be correct that it most likely hasn't been done yet since Ethanol isn't exactly sold at every street corner gas station in the country. So its not like everyone is jumping at the thought of doing a Ethanol setup, plus larger injectors are needed and I dont think there are too many people willing to run 1000cc injectors to make 400whp.

I would try it but no one sells it anywhere near me and there is no way I am running 8 injectors or 1600cc injectors on my car to end up making the exact same power I make now.

nope....def not doing that, too muich hastle for what on a 1.8 or 2.anything would be a fairly marginal gain for what is to be a daily driver. this isnt a HUGE secret nor is it a dreadfully uncommon turbo, just not one this particular community is dreadfully familiar with. at the end of the day im not looking for a 1/4mi beast or something that isnt going to drive well on a daily basis. I am more looking for a stable yet somewhat high mid-range that will make for a nice and usable daily with occasional track use...and the math works in this regard for what I am doing. the only thing e85 gives me is more punch for my $$ (since I have successfully tuned for it on my k04 and showed tangible benefit)...105oct fuel for $2.99 locally here...cost averages to the current denver 87oct price including 20% increased consumption which I noted before.
