hey guys, ive been having some difficulties with my front bumper...

well i am selling it to my friend and gonna go with a rieger soon.

so today i decided i would like to understand the process, for the hell of it i guess, well eventually after some research, i took it off and was pleased it wasnt too dificult.

but then when i tried to put it back on, i wanted to kill somebody,

ITS a complete BITCH to put this thing back on... it wouldnt line up correctly e.t.c...

anyways, there are 2- 6mm hex bolts that look like this

    http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m...ife/hex6mm.jpg

are they supposed to screw in all the way once your bumper is back on!?

because they dont go all the way back in for me...

    Re: Bumper help =[

Those 2 bolts are a pain in the ass if you messed with the bumper shock mounts... ie the two threaded bushing on the top and bottom that secure the bumper rebar to the shocks.. they should thread all the way in...

well yeah mine slide back in, but they dont screw all the way in. theres supposed to be a 1/4 in. gap between the bottom bushing and the bottom of the bumper shock to allow the Re-bar to slip in. but it wont screw up no matter what i try. fuckin shit.

    Re: Bumper help =[

K, so if anybody can help me heres where im at...

PLEASE TELL ME HOW THIS THING WORKS.

DO I SCREW THE BOLT IN ALL THE WAY, DOES THE TOP AND BOTTOM BUSHING HAVE TO BE TIGHTENED ALL THE WAY DOWN?

ALL I KNOW IS THAT THE RE-BAR RESTS BETWEEN THE BOLT AND THE BOTTOM BUSHING.

    LIKE THIS

yeah, what happened was i didnt know the bolts were reverse threaded, so it messed everything up for me, i also didnt know that you can jam the bolts in all the way till the thread actually begins.

    hah, learnin from my mistakes..
