    missfire problem found.....possibly

    so i finally got vag-com and since then i check basically every night the codes my car is throwing and keep getting the same ones over and over again. i keep getting the first one just normal driving and not hitting on it. but the second one comes on when i hit on it and feel my car misfire bad. Here are the codes:
    2 Faults Found:
    17866 - Exhaust Gas Temp Sensor 2 (G236): Short to Ground
    P1458 - 35-00 - -
    17521 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor: B1 S1: Internal Resistance too High
    P1113 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent



    any input would but good also.

    EGT 2 refers to the drivers side EGT likely needing replacement. O2 sensor bank 1 sensor 1 refers to the primary 02 sensor (nearest the engine) on the passenger side of the car likely needing replacement as well. You can also log the EGT and 02 values and post them, likely they are a bit off.

    any input would but good also.

    i would change the o2 first, but to be safe just replace them. After the car should be fine. But those 2 sensors going bad will def. make you misfire.
    One time the car fell on it's face because of those to codes and i drove it 30miles @ 40mph to get home on the freeway misfiring bad and it wouldn't rev past 3000rpm. Don't second guess it, just replace them.

    I had the same problem,specially when i was cruising at 140km/h in 6th i would punch the throttle and the car would bogg,got it checked and samething..o2 sensors!!!

    ok, sounds good. i'll get them replaced. the car is still under full warranty so i'm gunna make them replace it. I'll go down to the dealership tomorrow and get it settled. thanks
