Starting problem please help!!

well i came out of a resteraunt after a great dinner earlier and to my dislike my car will not start, now its sitting in the parking lot waiting for someone to steal parts off of it, haha. But anayways onto what is happenening. The car ran and drove fine on the way to get diner, when i went to start it for some odd reason the PRNDS (park, reverse, neutral drive) were all kind of illuminated around them whihc usually doesnt happen and then the car would click, and would not turn over though, i do not know if it is a fuel pump issue or what, could someone maybe helpo out on this one.

From what I have read on here, I think that means it is the TCM, which is expensive to fix. I could be wrong because it seems when this is the problem, it is always CVT's. I own a CVT, so I am dreading the day this happens to me. Hope this helps and this isn't your problem. Good luck!

i really think it is the fuel pump, because i had a friend of mine get in the trunk near the pump and listen to see if he could hear it when i tryed starting the car and he heard nothing, and i am getting spark, which was my first thought of what it could be, so i am almost completely positive it is a fuel issue and that it is the pump, we will see tommorow morning when the car gets towed to my house and i rip the bitch apart.

That could be a dead battery.

Electronics do funny things sometime when the improper voltage is present, i.e. dead battery.
