panning shots are difficult unless you have more gear. I'd recommend hopping into another car with a buddy driving yours so you can be moving at the same speed

ill have to give that a try. out of like 7 shots, this was the only one that came out half decent and not completely blurred out

two cars rolling together on freeway faster you can go the better for faster shutter speed = more clear shots, always when the most light is out too like day shots

hmm, when i took the panning shot, i believe i had my camera set to 1/40 shutter. would you recommend something like 1/100 or higher when i get up to faster speeds on the freeway?

i have a nikon d50 i dunno what your shooting with but on mine you put it on S mode and shutter speed 80 going say 75-80 mph on freeway with a lot of light !! LIGHTING IS EVERYTHING

im using sony alpha a200. i live in canada so id be in kms. i have a manual mode i can set my shutter speed to. should i convert mph to kms, and set my shutter to my speed?

I don't think it can be, I think for HDR you need to take the same pic w/different exposures and combine them w/software. I'm pretty sure about that, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

^^ your right, they need to be a couple separate pics of the EXACT same thing just exposed differently each time then put together, so no it cant be

the easiest way is set ur shutter speed the same as how fast the car is going
for example, if the car is rolling at 60mph, set ur shutter at 1/60

i dont know much since i am also just started learning taking rolling shot

1 thing I'd say not to do is drive and take shots lol

found out that going fast in car w/o Power Steering on a freeway with a camera in 1 hand and steering wheel in the other, is kind of hard!

mine are on DubSpace in the SIG, very hard, compared to my friends that had passengers - their shots are much better, even though I have a nice camera (Nikon D40X)
