Black residue in tailpipes?

Cleaning the car today and stuck my finger in the exhaust and when i pulled it out it was coated in black residue almost still wet in texture. I have been using more oil and I checked the antifreeze and no oil in there so I don't think its the head gasket. So I am thinking its the turbo anyone else have this happen?

yea the black stuff is carbon build up. its normal.

just to make sure, its kind of like hard power right? not liquid? (keep in mind there will be drops of water in your exhaust, im talking like brown/colored liquid)

not to thread jack or anything, but what's the best way to clean this off of your tailpipes??

chrome polish works pretty well. something that is somewhat abrasive

Nope this is dark black and not powdery like most and I have went through a quart of oil in the past month first time this has happened.
