    Re: d.i.y. rotors/pads

Its easy to replace the rotors and pads, about an hour of work (give or take, removing wheels, etc) There are some DIY write-ups out there, makes the process go smoother.

I'm thinking of doing a DIY on my front pads too. Was wondering the same thing.

    Re: d.i.y. rotors/pads

i did do some research, seems straight forward. prolly going to paint my calipers while doing the brake work as well. my only thing is if i should do the bearings or not. if i have to, that is going to be a bit harder.

    Re: d.i.y. rotors/pads

do you own a press for your wheel bearings? if not you're going to have to find a machine shop to press them in. bearing replacement is expensive as sh*t if you take it to a shop, but purchasing the bearing kits on your own is waay cheaper. honestly if you need to go to a machine shop do it, you'll save quite a bit! good luck, let me know how it goes!

I'm actually doing pads, ss brake lines, full control arm set, wheel bearing, and axle currently. I'm moving back up to ft. collins the 16th, so if you need help after that, just let me know

Yup... i'll be painting mine tomorrow. Black is where its at. Im using engine enamel primer/paint. I also picked up some silver to do the rings as well.

Don't do red, red is for BBKs
