    Wheel fitment questions

So I am planning on buying a set of LM reps. The ones I am looking at are 18x8.5 with a et45. What kind of fitment do you guys think this will give me. The seller mentioned something about getting 28 mm bolts for them. Does that sound right?

    Re: Wheel fitment questions

ET45 is too far in (about what/where stock are, but your wheels are wider so might hit rear uprights). Many people push them out to 35. I think anything from 40-35 looks good. Our stock lug bolts are 1.5 x 14mm. When buying new bolts you need to add the spacer width (i.e. 8 mm spacer would take you to et 37) to the 14mm (so 22mm bolts w/ 8 mm spacer). Store you buy lug bolts at should be able to confirm this.

Did you ask the previous owner what size spacers he used? Was it on a B5 A4 or other make/model? 28 mm bolts used on a B5 w/ 45 et wheels would put the wheels at 31 et (w/ 14mm spacer). I doubt he had them that far out, if so that is a lot of spacing... Also, my wheels are 32 et and I've rubbed the WHEEL (not just tire) on the front fender when turning/hitting bump.

    Hope this helps.

It would make things much easier ... make sure you watch your tire size though.

On an 18x8, you probably want a 225/40 tire.
