exhaust warranty

hey guys i got under my car this weekend to change my rear differential oil, and noticed that the stock exhaust isnt looking too good... ill have to snap some pics later but what looks to be the resonators? it seems to be rusting through pretty bad, now if they break or what ever then audi is responsible to fix that or no? its an 03 with 47XXX miles on it, they have 8 year warranty on exhaust and emissions right?

I believe it's 7/80k on Catalytic Converters and ECUs. If it isn't covered.. it's no big deal really. Any garage with welding equipment can fix it for well under $100

That is a green light to get an after market exhaust!!!!!

my thoughts exactly if its not covered

that way there ill have a reasonable "excuse" to tell the ole lady why im spending a grand on exhaust

Is she THAT car savvy?

Having two little ones, daycare, decent size mortgage and 2x car payments...things like aftermarket parts are out of the question for me.
I told my wife that I got new springs (ABT's) as part of the 50,000 mile maintenance. Now thats only a half truth, mind you

I also explained that I'll be needing new all seasons for the upcoming winter and instead of paying 500-600 for new meat, I might as well pay 1000 for a new tire/wheel package

As long as theres a legit purchase somewhere in there I suppose

it works out!!

lol well if i tell her my car needs it then she is less likley to make a comment... ive been preaching the maintenance to her lol now i got her checkin her car out and letting me know when is does somthing funny and if it pursists.. i figure another year or so she will be turning wrenshes un the car with me haha sweeet!!
