    2.8 30v Valve Cover & PVC

Replacing the valve cover gaskets on my 1998 A4 2.8 30v. Doing this because I found oil in the spark plug wells.
Got the valve covers off, not a fun job, but was able to do it.
The valve cover vent (PVC?) was plugged! While moving the plastic vent line, I managed to break it in two places. Seems like the entire line is crispy.
Question - I assume that I'm going to order a PVC hose. Is there anything else I need to get when doing this job?

    Thanks,

    Re: 2.8 30v Valve Cover & PVC

ya paint to paint the valve covers while they're off lol. the line you broke is the little one on the driver's side front right? you can just replace it with hose from like lowe's or something. i believe it's a 1/4 ID. check the big black hoses you took off the valve cover. they're probably plugged too so just take a screwdriver and careful clean it out as much as you can and put a little seafoam in there to dissolve it a bit. the job is much easier if you have small hands like me lol. good luck. if you haven't changed your ECT, it's pretty open right now so might as well do it
