What is supposed to be here? Ah yes -- the joys of buying a pre-owned car.

    Cheers,

Hmmm... wonder why the prev owner would've removed it. I did find out that they took the tool kit and reflector triangle.

^^^ angry much?? The button is a child lock. So if you leave your child in the back seat and you leave for whatever the case maybe the kid can lock the door if they feel they need to.

Interesting. No child to put in the back seat, but it would be nice to have all parts of my car. I'm really angry about the tool kit though -- just didn't realize it when I picked up the car, so my fault.

yeah that's just a button to lock all the doors (or it was) it probably just got smashed back in by a foot or something. If you pull out the ashtray you can see if it is lodged back there or at least find the connector if you want to buy a new one. Everyone that rides in the back of mine likes to play with that stupid button because no one knows what it does.

Except when I get a flat -- I have no way to take off the wheels. Yes, I can pick up a generic wheel-nut wrench, but I'm holding out for the original type that will fit cleaner in there. Also, there's supposed some type of tow hook in there.
    Audios,
    -Neil.

I rarely have back-seat passengers, so maybe in my spare time , I'll machine an aluminum cover for it. Or maybe I can get a stock button and wire it up to a shocker or something

you wouldn't want to change your tire with the tools provided...unless you don't mind being flatened by your own car lol. Get AAA or CAA or some kinda roadside assistance (or at least a better jack).

ABOUT THE BUTTON...........that ain't no child lock....i'll tell you what its really for....
if your in the back seat (for miscillanious reasons) and lock the door with the key fob, movement will be detected by your motion detector, thus setting off the alarm and causing a scene....
if your in the back seat (not my business what/who your doing), you push that lock button which locks the doors and DEACTIVATES the motion detectors so you don't draw any unwanted attention.
    Meet Shanice...
