So i'm looking into buying a b7 in the next few months. i'm sure there are plenty of threads, "what should i look for", "is this a good buy?". etc etc. I have a couple specific questions and i thought maybe someone could get a sticky together with all the common buyers questions, just an idea.

however, i'm looking most likely for a 05.5 or 06, most likely won't have a warranty attached. would you guys guess most of the higher mileage, 45,000+ miles cars, have some of the kinks worked out, or should i borrow an extra couple grand to get a cpo or just warrantied car? i am proficient with doing 90% of my own repairs, its more diagnosing and parts that is my concern. i realize there are quite a few common problems, read the stickies, and i dont want my car to run like shit all the time...

    thanks in advance

    Re: buyers guide

05.5 and 06 have the most problems since they are the first years of the b7. 45k miles on a turbo car with no warranty? it can be done, but why take the gamble? ive seen enough problems with mine to be glad i got cpo. unless youre doing heavy modding or get an unbelievable deal, go CPO.
