Los Angeles Tint Shop

Just picked up my car yesterday, but with my last car I had an awful experience with the tint. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for the general Los Angeles area tint shops. I live near Hollywood so anywhere in the valley or the city would work. Thoughts?

tint zone in rowland heights if you want to go that far.

he did my tints for super cheap and the quality is great. no fading or bubbling at all so far for a year.

The previous owner of my car had crappy tint on it, it was turning purple and bubbling a little in a few places. So i had them take off all my tint and replace it with 15% + 5% on my rear window for $180 w/lifetime warrenty. But id guess it would be around $140-150 for all 5 windows w/warrenty.

I got 50%, they have 40 as well...not to mention, they block out UV and infrared light. which means less heat in the car...

I'm moving to LA for school next week and need to get some tint done. How hard are cops on dark tint?

I've had one friend in WA pulled over and ticketed for 20%, do cops go out of their way to do the same in LA?

Ahh, im goin be right near you at SMC. You should be good in that area with 20%, im running 15% with no problems in Santa Monica, LMU is LAPD unless they have campus police...so they should have better things to do.

I've only had 20% on the fronts for the past week and no issues, but before that i ran 35% on the fronts for the rest of summer and I didnt have any problems. I'm sure they'll ticket you if they get you for something else, but so many people in LA have tint that I doubt they will pull you over for just that. unless they're really bored.

i just got an USP avant and i am looking for a tint shop in the south bay.. i've heard of several in the valley and song's in downtown, but unfortunately i am too busy to run all over town and wait a few hrs while they tint it..

i need to call Tony, he is in Pasadena but also comes to you.. he uses Suntek i've heard.. but i still hate to have some one drive down, i assume it has to be factored in at some point..

Just roll your fronts down when you see the police I have 5s and when I'm in LA I kinda get on edge a little hah. I just visited LMU really nice place!

I noticed cop cars with 35% window tint the last few days here on the west side of LA...strange!

I notice cop cars rolling stop signs and changing lanes without signals all the time. Doesn't mean they wont give you a ticket for doing precisely that...

thanks.. i've been waiting to get wheels, but thought it was time to update.. actually its not my exact car (windows are already tinted).. it is the wrecked one i found on autotrader shortly after i bought mine.. i definitely did not want to use Jim or Sable's..

i talked to ultrasporty after i saw this.. he said andy is great and has done about 25-35 cars of friends now.. so i called andy and he is a great guy.. he has several accounts with various dealerships too..

i still need to decide 30 or 40% or 30-rear, 40-rear.. i had 20/35% on my sedan and loved it, but i am likely moving to a state where tint is illegal, so i dont want to go as dark.. but i want them to look a little dark..

My cars windows only look unreasonably dark at night. So i suppose my self imposed rule is to drive with the windows down at night. Which seems a bit backwards.

Tiny bit darker than your 50 percent channad... I got 20 percent on the sides and 15 percent on the rear window. It looks good. Dark enough to match up reasonably well with the black B pillar covers.

I live down the street from LMU. Got 35 all around with ti interior. Not a problem thus far.

I'd say, drive around with 'em if/when you get the $10 ticket, go get lighter tints.

the tint is on and looks great.. i did 40% in the front and 30% in the rears.. i will post pics once it fully dries.. the 40% in the fronts is a little darker than i was expecting.. its perfect for here, but in PA i might have been better with 50% to avoid the fuzz..

Andy is awesome.. i would definitely recommend him.. he does great work, comes to you, and is really nice guy..
