Sometimes I even spike 28 psi when the clutch slips. Obviously some K04s are built better than others........jk. But AMD/EPL stage 3 with no issues but a destroyed CM stage 4 and roasted tires. BTW I rape this car because I have no problem blowing up turbos and I just can't!! Just thought I would share .....

Its kinda funny, that i expected to blow my k03's (almost wishing they went up in smoke) so i could get k04s but they held strong. Now I have k04s, i better start wishing they explode so i can get GT's, hopefully this reverse Karma will keep my k04s safe :)

Any idea of build date on your k04's?

It does suck though that a clutch job is a pain in the ass, and pricey one too.

Actually my K04s did blow but after 200 miles due to a valve being stuck open in the breather system and all the boost went in the crankcase housing, causing the turbo seals to fail and leak oil. So I had them rebuilt for $450 each last summer. Funny thing is that I have heard many people say they have better results when rebuilding blown k04s.

what valve was stuck open? just curious b/c this just happened to me from pressure testing it without removing the pcv. but if you're talking about the pcv system that goes into the y pipe, you were not boosting into the crankcase, that was intake air being sucked/blown through the open pcv valve.
