I cannot even tell you guys how happy I am. Today I finally got rid of my Mercedes and I'm the proud new owner of a 2005.5 Sprint Blue S4. So now I finally get to act like I belong here. Too bad I'm broke after purchasing the car, cause I have had the modding bug for a car that I didn't own until today for a few years now... I have to find some money... anyone want Radiohead tickets?....

She's bone stock, but shes my favorite color and has the RNS-E, CF interior, moonroof delete (dunno if thats an option or not, but its cleaner, regardless), "silver" interior, although it looks kinda white to me, and best of all, shes riding on the now extinct Avus's. I'll see what I can't do in terms of pictures tomorrow. I have to get some to tease my New York friends with anyway.

Yeah aside from the getting some tint on my car and hardwiring a V1, I was thinking about doing something with the exhaust, cause I can't get enough of that sound. Would piggies be a better choice than cat-backs? And I'd love to get downpipes but I would only be able to afford them if they were used. So if anyone has any, lemme know. Also, what would they do to the warranty?

Anyone know of any good places to get tint done in the LA area? I'm sure there are thousands, but my last experience with my benz turned out to be a bust.

Part way through 2005 the new model B7's A4/S4's were released as a 2005.5 model. There are also 2006's, and 2005's, but the 2005.5 is the first generation of the new body style, and just happens to have come out in the spring/summer of 2005.

I managed to get it with 27k miles and talked the guy down to $27k or so. But that's partly because he lowballed me on the trade in value of my mercedes.

Yeah I was thinking the short shifter would be my first attempted DIY. It's cheap and simple, and you are rewarded with tangible results. I would like to do full exhaust but given the money constraint, unless I could find a hell of a deal I'd probably do it in pieces, and I don't know if I'd go with DPs first or cats. I'm leaning towards cats though. Still trying to figure out which one. Any suggestions? I'm kind of after both performance increase AND a pretty nasty sounds. I want heads to turn, but I don't want to wake people up at night, if you know what I mean.

haha yeah car factory certainly isn't paying me enough. slow down guys, sheesh. car is only 2 days old. I'll get rid of those plate holders. I don't even live in sherman oaks anyway. Are there any audi "S" holders or should I settle for the default "Quattro" one that i can't go wrong with?
