    Any Dynolishous Reviews ?

For those that dont know, its the Dyno program on the iPhone. My friend got it tonight so we tested the 0-60 on my car. I was expecting it to be a little slow since I didnt launch because my stock clutch is almost done for after almost 89k. I got apr 1+ so its not alot on the stock clutch but since its on its way out i dont wanna push it.

Anyway, all the info I put in was the estimated weight and my friend held it straight up in his hand and i hit 60 and slowed down. The thing read 11.5 seconds 0-60 which was way off. I didnt launch but it wasnt that slow. Then we tested my friends mom's v8 E class and it was 11.5 on a 0-50(we hit 60 but it didnt sense it i guess). I wanna know cuz i paid $6 to use it whenever I want so I just wanna know how to get it working straight.

All of the reviews people said it was pretty accurate so any1 that has used it I wanted to see whats the best way to get the most accurate reading. All I put was the model and estimated weight. I know there was another thread a few days ago in some other forum but i couldnt find it and i didnt read it when i saw it back then.

    TIA
    -Nick

    1. get an acurate weight reading ( if its possible to find a scale by you)
    2. make sure the iphone doesnt move AT ALL (i used double sided duct tape to stick it to my armrest, I also think it works better horizontally then vertically)
    3. make sure you go to the settings and calibrate it

I've got it working pretty good now and my times are actually getting fairly acurate

    have fun

OK thanks, yeah we were just trying to hold it steady in our hands, guess that was bad. I'll try to fill in as many of the other stats too.

    Re: Any Dynolishous Reviews ?

I tried it out. I had it wedged in the center console under the armrest. It told me I made it to 60mph in 9.8sec... I never could get it working correctly. When I try to do the calibration it gets to the step where you have to hold the iphone/ipod flat on its face and it never takes a reading... ?

    Re: Any Dynolishous Reviews ?

I found that it took a long time for it to calibrate upside down aswell, i just layed it facedown on the table and it took about a minute or two but eventually worked. Same thing for face up which is the next step.

hope that helps you calibrate it.

    good luck

    Re: Any Dynolishous Reviews ?

when i changed the drivetrain loss to 25%, the hp automatically changed to 158hp. so yeah it might be pretty accurate.

119awhp sounds almost dead on for a stock a4.

i made 113awhp on a mustang dyno in the heat and with a full exhaust (lost HP up top, gained TQ down low... k03's suck lol)
