A few new parts = a few new pics!

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Well I havent updated Zerstören pics in awhile so I guess its about time. I am probably done with it for awhile (yea, I know we all say that) but I am going to spend all winter snowboarding and the following 3 years in PA school. Maybe I'll make the time for a BAT project.. hmmm. Anyway, in the last few months I have added...

    -Clear corners
    -20% tint
    -Magellan GPS
    -Custom intake/heat shield
    -USP reps/ 235/40/18 Continentals
    -'02 Sport suspension
    -RS4 rear swaybar
    -Thule roof rack

    Refinished wheels.

    On the car.

Intake/heat shield (still have some FS by the way)

The suspension (just did it today). Up on the lift.

    Old swaybar vs. new.

New parts in the front and rear!

Got her up on the rack for an alignment.

Turned out to be the perfect height. I am not planning on going any lower (just not practical for the places I go in this thing!). Also before anyone tells me to paint my lowers, that also is not a possibility. The paint on them wouldn't last more than a week. Anyway, just thought I'd share some finished pics. (p.s. the GSXr has gotten a few new parts as well, but I'll leave that for a different forum :D )

Looks good, maybe the suspension needs to settle though, or maybe just bad angle on the pics.

Supposedly, its from an '02. I got it from Alex@GMS. It may settle down a bit but I like where it sits now just fine.

You should have let the springs settled before you got an alignment

I took it out for a quick spin (maybe a few miles) but I assumed everything was already settled, considering it is used suspension. If it settles more, its not a huge deal to throw it up on the rack and straighten her back out.

I was looking at MD and DO programs but I really don't want to spend 8.5 years completely immersed in school/residency/etc. Being a PA, you can get it all done in 2.5. Also, it is much easier to switch specialties.

Re: A few new parts = a few new pics!

your painted lowers would last just fine, maybe a small bit of rock chipping over time on the front bumper but that's about it...just get a clear bra. i'm up at around 11,000' almost every weekend in the winter out here in the rockies, so i can't imagine anywhere worse to be taking the car in PA or new england in general.

car looks sweet though man, white is hot! and contrary to popular opinion i love the roof rack too.

Re: A few new parts = a few new pics!

That's not an 02 sport suspension and used suspensions don't need time to settle because they don't settle since they are used. My 04 sport suspension was lower than that. Did you use sport bump stops? Also why are your shocks silver, what brand are they?

Got a friend that works for Audi. He chargers $50 a corner for suspension install. And he does it on the side. Let me know if interested. He does all the work on my car.

I painted them silver, they were red (but nasty) originally. If you look up Alex@GMS he had an 02 sport and the suspension was off of his car. Although it took him 3 months to ship them to me, it should be the right suspension.

Should I be using the '02 bumpstops? That shouldn't really make a difference in ride height so I didn't worry about it.
